Guide
Give STRIA access to a system
STRIA proposes an access boundary when the work needs one, and the proposal appears under Access, Waiting for your decision. An administrator opens it, reads what STRIA can and cannot do and chooses Approve this access or Decline. Nothing is granted until you approve. Access requests are approved or declined on the same page.
Open the account menu in the top right and choose Access. On a phone, Access is under More. The page is shown only to the organisation's administrators.
You do not create the mandate yourselves. When work needs access, STRIA proposes a boundary and you decide. If STRIA has no access yet, the page says STRIA has no access to your systems yet.
Approve a proposal
Under Waiting for your decision, open the row STRIA proposes this access.
Read the mode, Systems, Environments and Until, then STRIA can, STRIA cannot and Always a separate approval.
Choose Approve this access, or Decline if the boundary does not suit you.
Once approved, the page says Approved. STRIA can start within this boundary. and the mandate shows as Active.
Decide an access request
Under Waiting for your decision, open the row STRIA asks for access to followed by the system's name.
Read What STRIA asks for, Why, What STRIA will be able to do, Environment, How long, Risk and If you decline.
Add a Note (optional) if you wish.
Choose Approve or Decline.
The top of the request says whether it is a one-time, time-limited permission or whether it changes the access boundary itself. An approved one-time permission covers exactly what was asked, for the stated time, and nothing more.
If you decline
If you decline a proposal, STRIA asks again if the work needs it. If you decline a request, STRIA continues with what it is already allowed to do. A case that needs the access stays paused until access is given another way or the scope changes. Paused cases are listed under Work paused for lack of access.
Check before approving
Approve only the systems, environments and time the engagement needs. Check that you have the right to grant the access, for example when another supplier runs the system or third-party rules apply. Before changes in production, a current backup should exist unless backup is part of the quote.
Who can approve?
Administrators only. Others in the organisation see Access is managed by your organisation administrator. Whoever requested an access can never decide on it themselves.
