How to read a proposal
A STRIA CODE proposal shows the services included with amounts excluding VAT, the assumptions the price is based on, the subtotal, VAT and total. The price is either a fixed price or a starting price. You find the proposal under Proposals, where the list also shows how long it is valid when it has a validity date.
Open Proposals in the workspace menu, or choose the proposal under Proposals to review on Home. On smaller screens Proposals sits under More. Proposals waiting for your decision are listed under To review.
What the proposal shows
| Part | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Reference | The proposal number, at the top of the page. Quote it when you have questions about the proposal. |
| What is included | Each service included, with its amount excluding VAT. |
| Assumptions | What STRIA based the price on. Shown when the proposal has assumptions. |
| Subtotal excl. VAT and VAT | The sum of the services and the VAT on it. |
| Your saving | Shown when your price is below the standard price, for example through STRIA CODE Partner. |
| Total | The amount you accept, including VAT. |
Fixed price or starting price
STRIA issues proposals with a fixed price or a starting price. A starting price covers a genuine minimum scope described in the proposal. If the work turns out larger, different or more complex, STRIA pauses before doing further chargeable work outside the approved scope, documents what has come to light and asks for your approval.
Read the assumptions
The assumptions describe the conditions behind the price. If they do not match your situation, write to STRIA before you accept, so the proposal rests on the right basis.
Validity
When a proposal has a validity date, the list under Proposals shows it as Valid until followed by the date.
